Day 33 update
Yesterday the Foxes covered 50.7km in 13.25 hours.  The weather was good with blues skies and around 10 knots of wind.

More sustrugi made the going harder especially for Jen who has broken her skis.  However, demonstrating true teamwork they rotated the broken skis between them to help Jen.

The day ended with a lovely sunset.  They only have 122km to go.

Day 34 update
Yesterday the Foxes covered 49.9km in 13.25 hours.  Again the weather was lovely but Jo is now having real problems with her feet which are deteriorating fast.  Requiring heavy bandaging each morning, two of Jo's toes are now missing their skin and according to Rachel Fox, they looks they have had a close encounter with a land mine.  Disturbingly, they apparently have photographs of them too.

Once again the gaffa tape and superglue has come to the rescue. This time they've been put to good use on Jen's skis which together with the back of a notepad have become the product of some Foxy DIY.

Despite the obvious destruction to their kit and in one case, their bodies, the Foxes are in fine fettle and are really looking forward to the end of the expedition.  It is hoped they will reach the west coast by Saturday evening.
